MAY 11, 2018 – IPPT proudly welcomed researchers from the University of Leicester- Prof. Martha Clokie and Dr. Andrew Millard, Prof. Thomas Sicheritz-Ponten from the University of Copenhagen and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bent Petersen from the Technical University of Denmark. The seminar was attended by IPPT researchers and postgraduate students. Prof. Tang Thean Hock – on behalf of IPPT Director – presented a brief introduction on research conducted in IPPT. During the visit, Martha shared her knowledge and research experience on ecology evolution and phage therapy. While Thomas presented his research on “How Bioinformaticians can save the world”. In continuation, Bent gave a brief talk on rainforest genomics and biodiscovery. With the visit, it is hoped that collaborations can be made in the future and connections be forged.
