Professorial Public Lecture of Prof. Dr. Tang Thean Hock

On 29 July 2016, the Professorial Public Lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Tang Thean Hock (Non protein-coding RNA: identification, function and applications) was successfully held at the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), Kepala Batas (Penang).

The event started at 9.00 am with a welcoming speech given by the Director of AMDI, Dr. Norehan Mokhtar. Prior to delivering his public lecture, Prof. Tang was specially introduced by Prof. Datuk Dr. Omar Shawkataly.

Additionally, we have made a video biography with congratulation notes from peers and colleagues for Prof. Tang in conjunction with this event.

Lastly, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations on his promotion and public lecture.

Invited speaker from AIMST University - Dr. Choy Ker Woon

January 7, 2019 – We kicked start the year with an insightful talk given by Dr Choy Ker Woon from AIMST University. Dr Woon’s lecture is titled “Pharmacological effects of paeonol against endoplasmic reticulum stress and inflammation-induced endothelial dysfunction”. Dr Woon recently completed her PhD at the University of Malaya and is currently a senior lecturer at AIMST University.
