The 3rd International Halal Conference 2016

November 21-22, 2016 - Our MSc. member, Tan Lee Lee , has joined as an oral presenter the 3rd International Halal Conference organized by the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS), Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Shah Alam, to present her project entitled "Evaluation of a duplex PCR assay for porcine DNA detection in meat-based food products". The two-day conference was attended by 250 delegates from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, etc., as well as 9 invited speakers from major Halal organizations, such as JAKIM, Halal Industry Development Corporate (HDC) and World Halal Development (WHAD) from Italy.

Invited speaker from AIMST University - Dr. Choy Ker Woon

January 7, 2019 – We kicked start the year with an insightful talk given by Dr Choy Ker Woon from AIMST University. Dr Woon’s lecture is titled “Pharmacological effects of paeonol against endoplasmic reticulum stress and inflammation-induced endothelial dysfunction”. Dr Woon recently completed her PhD at the University of Malaya and is currently a senior lecturer at AIMST University.
