July 25-26, 2017 - RNA-Bio Research Group members have attended and delivered their presentations at the 3rd AMDI Postgraduate Colloqium . Our group leaders, Dr. Citartan Marimuthu and Dr. Ng Siew Kit , presented as invited speaker to showcase their research on aptamer and hydrogen water, respectively. Students who participated the presentation include Rogini Sivalingam , Prabu Siva Sankar, Presela Ravinderan, Chew Yik Wei, Tey Lee Hung, Alvin Paul and Tan Lee-Lee . C ongratulations to Alvin Paul ( IRF9 Phosphorylation in Type 1 Interferon Response) and Tey Lee Hung ( Functional Evaluation of Flag-STAT1 in U3A Cells ) for winning the Best Presenter and Second Best Presenter, respectively.

May 24, 2017 - We're very glad to share the news that one of our students, Ms. Nur Nadia Che Aziz, has recently received the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Scholarship 2017/2018. Conferment of the scholarship was officiated by His Royal Highness Yang Di-Pertuan Agong XV, Sultan Muhammad V at Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur.  After that, she was live interviewed on Selamat Pagi Malaysia, TV1 on June 3, on her research regarding background and its contribution to Malaysia. Live interview on Selamat Pagi Malaysia, TV1 with the programme hosts, Datuk Dr Rosslina, Director of Human Capital Development Division, Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia, and James Tan You Sian.

July 6, 2017 – In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, we had a potluck gathering in our meeting room after the weekly talk. All lecturers and students gathered to celebrate the festive season, as well as birthday  for those born in May and June. We had abundant food to eat such as keropok, kuih raya, snacks, nasi lemak, ayam masak merah, and drinks. Raya mood instantly kicked-in with the Raya songs We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely wish to all our Muslim fellows, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!
